Credit Cards Key » CreditCardsKey » Bank Credit Cards » Should I stay with Bank of America or switch to a credit union?

  #1 (permalink)
: I have been with bank of America for 2 years and I am not going to lie I am not a responsible banker. I'm just a broke college kid who often overdrafts his account, looks for cash advances on his credit card and always has to go to an ATM to withdraw cash resulting in $5 worth of fees every time. So my question really is are there credit unions that would have less penalties for over drafting or getting cash advances, i have also heard some don't charge for ATM withdrawals at certain locations. I know i am being irresponsible but I just want to be able to go about my life without getting hit with fees every other week.

(I would go to the Bank of America ATM but its miles from where I live and I dont have a car)

: no,,, credit unions will kick customers out that overdraft too much
they don't tolerate high irresponsibility

every college I have ever seen has a place near the student union with a row of different bank ATM's,,, look for that,,, mr. college student
AND all colleges I know have a student type account debit card you can use,,, mr. college student
