: I never knew having credit can be such a need to purchase things such as a car or a house. What can I do to build up my credit?

Make sure you have a checking and a savings first

5 months of income in a savings account will always be more important than any top score in the world. Make that your #1 priority.

Exercise regularly and res

Use the credit and pay it down or off and after time use it again

: If you are over 21 and employed full time 12/18 months without a cosigned and have $500 in a savings account, you should be able to convert it into a secured credit card from a bank. Make sure they belong to the credit bureau and use it for small items and pay the balance the following month. In 12 months you'll have a fair score, (620/659) and in 24, a good score (660/749) and in 36+, an excellent score of (750/840).
